Our state-of-the-art facility has the ability to pack and label both creamed and liquid honey.

Fresh out of University, I started working at NZHG working one day a week on a project. This was only meant to last for a month, a year and a half later I am now working full time as the Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager. Although I had no previous experience in my role, or in the honey industry, NZHG believed in my ability and invested in the appropriate training to further my knowledge.

NZHG have helped me grow within the company, and have offered me opportunities many other companies wouldn’t. I enjoy working at NZHG because every day is different, I’m constantly learning new things about the honey industry, and different areas of the business. I know NZHG will help and encourage me to reach my goals.

I enjoy my role at NZHG as I get to work with an amazing product like honey, as well as working alongside a great team of people who share the same passion for delivering high quality products to our customers all around the world.

I have been working in the company for almost a year as a beekeeper and I enjoy my job because I can go to different places and see the beautiful scenic views of Aotearoa/NZ.

I have been working with NZHG since the summer of 2018. I started as just a casual staff member for a few months but then NZHG saw potential in me and promoted me to Extraction Supervisor.

From there I moved departments to join the Bulk Honey team. I have had the opportunity to work with the Beekeeping team all the way through to the Packing team.

I love working here as every day is different and I have the opportunity to learn further whilst working. The working environment is positive and the management team is really supportive.

I have been working with NZHG for 3 years now as Beekeeper Team leader. I love my job because it involves getting out in nature and doing something positive for the planet.

Working with NZHG is enjoyable because people genuinely care about each other personally and work together as a team. Additionally, the tasks are personally challenging and match my career goals. I always start a day by reviewing my to-do list and then set up a roadmap with my team before we head out to enjoy the nature in beekeeping.

The highlight of a working day at NZHG varies depending on the time of year. This makes working for NZHG very appealing. I started in December 2020 in the Bulk Honey department, then moved across to Extraction as a Supervisor then Extraction Manager.

I have been with the company for six years. NZHG is a company which offers opportunities for everyone to foster and grow both professionally and personally. I have not only learned a lot over these years about my own department, but there has also been a lot of cross functional learning which has helped in an overall growth in my career.

My colleagues at NZHG are extremely encouraging, talented and like one big family who are always around to support at times of need. The company is multicultural and we get to interact with colleagues from various nationalities and cultural background, which is also another interesting facet of working for NZHG. And it’s not all work all the time, NZHG also has a very proactive approach to employee wellbeing and frequently organizes company events. Melita has been one of the best places to work.
